As the Financial Advisor and Founder at District Financial Planning, my responsibilities include working with clients to help them pursue their financial goals. I have worked in the financial services industry for over 19 years and specialize in retirement planning, tax planning, and wealth management.
I am motivated by the latest trends and technology in the financial services industry. In 2009, I obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) designation. I attended Virginia Tech, where I obtained a bachelor's degree in finance and a minor in sociology. As a Virginia native with almost two decades of financial planning experience, I was recruited to the D.C. area in 2007 to lead a team of new financial advisors. This is where I discovered my passion for working with people one-on-one. In 2011, I made the decision to become an independent financial advisor, so I could have the freedom and resources to give my clients personalized advice, tools, and services.
I hold FINRA Series 7, Series 24, and Series 66 licenses through LPL Financial, as well as state insurance and annuity licenses. What I love most about my job is giving someone the green light to retire or take that dream trip, because we've saved and invested wisely along the way. In my free time, I enjoy relaxing with my wife, Jill, and our two children. I also have a passion for playing the drums, which allows me to unwind and express my creativity.
